Atención de enfermería en el trastorno por uso de alcohol : Una revisión integradora

Abstract

Introduction: Nursing in Mental Health encompasses the individual and group care of the patient suffering from mental health disorders. The evolution of mental health nursing has been conditioned both by the evolution of psychiatry and by the own situation of nursing. Within the DSM-5 we find disorders due to the use of substances and addictive disorders, a group that includes the disorder that is going to be treated later. Objective: To analyze in the scientific literature the activities carried out by nursing professionals in alcohol use disorder. Methodology: This is an integrative review. The search was carried out in the Pubmed databases, the Cochrane Plus Library, the Regional Portal of the BVS, CINAHL, SCIELO, CUIDEN and Health Portals. The search is limited to articles published in the last 10 years, using the standardized language DeCS and MeSH, combined with natural language. Articles are analyzed with a critical Reading tool. Results: Are recovered 27 articles. Only 52% (n = 14) of the articles reach a high level of methodological quality and are chosen to be included in the review. The nursing staff stresses that more and better training is needed with respect to drug addictions and most of them do not feel comfortable with this type of patient. Conclusions: The actions carried out by nursing in patients with alcohol use disorder should focus on emotional intelligence, brief motivational interventions and group interventions.

Introducción: La enfermería en Salud Mental abarca la atención tanto individual como grupal del paciente que padece trastornos de la salud mental. La evolución de la enfermería de salud mental se ha visto condicionada tanto por la evolución de la psiquiatría como por la propia situación de la enfermería. Dentro del DSM-5 encontramos los trastornos por uso de sustancias y trastornos adictivos, grupo en el que se incluye el trastorno que se va a tratar posteriormente. Objetivo: Analizar en la literatura científica las actividades llevadas a cabo por los profesionales de enfermería en el trastorno por uso de alcohol. Metodología: Se trata de una revisión integradora. Se ha realizado la búsqueda en las bases de datos Pubmed, Biblioteca Cochrane Plus, Portal Regional de la BVS, CINAHL, SCIELO y CUIDEN. Se limita la búsqueda a artículos publicados los 10 últimos años, utilizándose el lenguaje estandarizado DeCS y MeSH, combinado con el lenguaje natural. Se analizan los artículos con una herramienta de lectura crítica. Resultados: Se recuperan 27 artículos. Solo el 52% (n=14) alcanzan un nivel alto de calidad metodológica y son escogidos para incluirlos en la revisión. El personal de enfermería destaca que es necesaria mayor y mejor formación con respecto a las drogodependencias y la mayoría no se siente cómoda con este tipo de paciente. Conclusiones: Las actividades que lleva a cabo enfermería en los pacientes con trastorno por uso de alcohol, se deben centrar en captación en inteligencia emocional, intervenciones motivacionales breves e intervenciones grupales.
