Combinación de las técnicas cognitivo-conductuales para mejorar las habilidades cognitivas en el aula en un estudio de caso único de educación Primaria

Abstract

Las habilidades cognitivas se deben trabajar en el aula de educación Primaria para aumentar el interés y la motivación de los niños y niñas por descubrir sus capacidades intelectuales. Este trabajo se centra en potenciar la atención para comprobar si se mejora la autoestima y seguridad en uno mismo y de este modo, que se vean afectadas positivamente las habilidades sociales y conductuales. A través de un diseño cualitativo de caso único, se han utilizado actividades motivadoras para trabajar la estimulación cognitiva con la finalidad de desarrollar los procesos básicos de aprendizaje, aumentar la autonomía y mejorar su interacción con el entorno. Se pretende desarrollar y mantener la atención relacionándola con el buen uso de la ortografía y la caligrafía. Primero de todo, se ha realizado una búsqueda de información sobre el tema y teorías relacionadas. Después, se ha seleccionado el material educativo más apropiado para emplear el seguimiento y observación continua del niño. Se aplicó la combinación de fichas tradicionales, ejercicios de atención visual, juegos interactivos y la técnica de economía de fichas. Tras 31 días de intervención, los resultados indicaron una mejora significativa en el aprendizaje de las habilidades cognitivas del menor

Cognitive skills must be worked in the classroom of elementary education to increase children’s interest and motivation in order to discover their intellectual abilities. This work is focused on the attention’s enhancement to check if self-esteem and self-confidence are improved and that it affects positively to the social skills and behaviour. Through a qualitative single case design, stimulating activities have been used on the cognitive stimulation in order to develop basic learning process, increase autonomy and improve their interaction with the environment. It is done in order to develop and maintain their attention, linking it with the proper use of the orthography and calligraphy. First of all, an information search about the topic and related theories has been carried out. Then, the most appropriate educational material has been selected to use the monitoring and continuous observation of the child. The combination of traditional tabs, visual attention exercises, interactive games and token economy technique were applied. After 31 days of intervention, the results indicated a significant improvement in the training of cognitive abilities of the child.
