Estudio sobre las metodologías y recursos didácticos en Ciencias Sociales en Educación Primaria en Centros de Acción Educativa Singular pertenecientes a las provincias de Castellón y Valencia

Abstract

El sistema educativo español ha ido modificando su estructura y funcionamiento en las ultimas décadas, con el propósito de atender las diferentes realidades y necesidades que caracterizan a nuestra sociedad. Fruto de ello han sido los denominados Centros de Acción Educativa Singular. Estos centros tienen como objetivo atender a todo el alumnado que se encuentra en una situación de desventaja frente al sistema. Los C.A.E.S presentan unas características específicas entorno a la naturaleza del alumnado y la intervención educativa, las cuales suelen ser distintas a las presentes en centros que comúnmente se consideran ordinarios, con el objetivo de conseguir que los alumnos y alumnas que allí acudan no sean excluidos del sistema, garantizando la igualdad de oportunidades de todos los individuos que acceden al sistema educativo. Por esta razón, el presente trabajo se centra en el estudio de las metodologías y recursos didácticos que los docentes emplean en la asignatura de Ciencias Sociales, concretamente en Centros Educativos de Educación Primaria considerados Centros de Acción Educativa Singular por la administración pública. Las provincias en las que se ha realizado el estudio han sido dos: Valencia y Castellón. El objetivo de este estudio es conocer y analizar la realidad de estos centros entorno a las metodologías y actuaciones educativas que los docentes aplican a la hora de impartir el área de Ciencias Sociales.

The educational system has modified either its structure or its main functions during the last decades, with the main aim of answering to the different realities and needs that has modelled our nowadays’ society. As a result, we have Centros de Acción Educativa Singular – CAES (Special Educative Needs Schools). This type of schools has as a main aim to attend to those disadvantaged students according to the general educative system. These schools have specific traits according to the type of the students and the educative intervention which are different from those taken to usual schools with the goal that those students would not be excluded from the system, guaranteeing at the same time, their right to have the same opportunities to those belonging to the general mainstream. Thus, this project is centered in the study of the methodologies and didactic resources that are performed by the teachers when teaching Social Science, more precisely in Primary Schools that are considered CAES by the educational authorities. The two territories that have been considered for the present project have been: Valencia and Castellon. The main goal of this project is to know and analyze the real methodologies and educative proceedings that these teachers applied and use when they are teaching Social Science to their students.
