Urticaria is a very prevalent pathology and can affect
up to 25% of the population at some
time
. There are
different
classifications of urticaria,
among which the
differentiation
according to the
evolution
time
stands out:
acute when the
injury
lasts
less than
6 weeks
and chronic when it exceeds 6 weeks. It is an immunologic or non
-
immunologic reaction
in which
degranulation of mast
cells
occurs
. Due to its high prevalence and
because
urticaria
can
be part of more serious processes such
anaphylaxis and angioedema
,
it is
very important to
identify
potentially complicated
urticaria
and
refer those patients
to the
allergist to carry out the
relevant studies and treatments
.
The present end
-
of
-
degree work has consisted of the implementation of
a protocol for
the Alle
rgology S
ervice of HGUC and associated Primary Care
Centres
. This protocol
aims to standardize appropriate derivation criteria for
urticaria
in patients whose health
area is that of this hospital. To this end, a systematic search of the current scientific
evidence on the subject was carried out. This protocol specifies
the criteria for the
derivation
,
as well as the classification,
physiopathology
, diagnostic criteria and
treatment of hives. A reduced version of the protocol has also been generated. [-]

, crit
erios diagnósticos y tratamiento de la urticaria. También se ha
generado una versión reducida del
mismo
para
facilitar
su uso. [-]
