The aim of this research is to focus on how the runic alphabet has changed in its evolution from oral to written system, mainly in its three variables as it is the Elder Furthark or Anglo-Saxon, Younger Furthark or Scandinavian and the Medieval (Latinized) Furthark after the arrival of Christianity in Scandinavia. Another task is to study the factors of the orthographic variability and the influence of runic in the English language. We really have to consider the evolution of runic inscriptions and the importance of runic alphabet beyond its sounds as it was a syllabic writing system. So, in order to know how this writing system has changed and why, it is needed an approach to analyze this specific language. Afterwards, on interpreting the results of this study, they will indicate that language is a tool that plays an importance role in a specific period of time, and then it evolves significantly with more referents and language structures. On the other hand, this task might decline in meaning due to the fact that different values were given to the rune in different periods of time. Nevertheless, taking into account what experts have investigated, I consider that we have a great amount of research to discover that writing language systems are essential for human being evolution and they also constitute a tool of communication to know even better each other.
