| ca_CA |
dc.description.abstract | In recent years we are witnessing an informative scenario in which the audiovisual content generated by citizens is gaining an important place in the media ecosystem day after day. The emergence of social media has allowed us to banish the unidirectional communicative model that prevailed so far to empower citizens and make them part of the new bidirectional communication, where the consumer abandons passivity and becomes the main actor, prosumer. Social media has become the preferred channel for consuming information for a large part of society, but the increase in fake news and the bad practices carried out in recent years by the traditional media have increased mistrust in the media. The rise of digital platforms, the collaborative economy and the introduction of mobile phones in society is serving to reinvent many traditional sectors. The objective of the following academic paper is to analyze the opportunity and feasibility of the You Make News project, a digital platform that aims to become the space where the media will search for informative audiovisual content created by citizens. The absence of a collaborative culture between the users generating content and the means of communication prevents the existence of a work flow between both parties. This fact allows You Make News to have the opportunity to open a non-existent market, bringing together in its digital platform the videos created by the citizenship and distributing them to the media. | ca_CA |
