In recent years, companies have changed from their traditional business management techniques, achieving a new form of activity which also has a positive impact on society and the environment. To date, only non-profit organisations and entities defined by the Social Economy Law are legally recognised to make such an impact, but there are many other companies with different legal standings that are
committed to the cause. The B-Corp certificate recognises these types of companies, all of which meet ethical codes and high standards of practise within all areas of the business. Due to the growing interest in changing the way businesses perform, the objective of this paper is to analyse the Spanish companies that have chosen to obtain this certificate and study their common traits. An impact measurement will be carried out in different business fields and several variables of interest will be analysed. [-]
