Sociodemographic analysis of the touristic profile that visits Spain

Abstract

Tourism is one of the most important economic industries for Spain and for Valencian community. The development of tourism increases as years pass and it created a outstanding economic growth that makes our country become one of the main touristic destinations in the world. In this document the most remarkable touristic flows of foreigners’ profiles that visit Spain will be analyzed. We will also study the most relevant aspects, the reasons why tourists are attracted to a destination, the number of overnight stays and arrivals and also the average of money tourists expend and their income. Also, part of this study will focus in figuring out the two foreigner profiles with more arrivals to Spain and we’ll base on that to elaborate an analysis with more information thanks to statistical data. That information will help to better understand the analysis of the tourists that come to our country.

El turismo es uno de los sectores económicos más importantes tanto para España como para la Comunidad Valenciana. El desarrollo del turismo, cada vez más potente con el paso de los años, ha generado un notable crecimiento económico que sitúa a nuestro país como uno de los principales destinos turísticos mundiales. En el presente trabajo, se analizarán los flujos turísticos más destacados de los distintos perfiles extranjeros que visitan España y se hará un estudio tanto de los aspectos más relevantes como de los motivos que atraen al turista al destino, del número de pernoctaciones y llegadas, del gasto medio efectuado y del número de ingresos. También, parte del trabajo se centrará en averiguar los dos perfiles turísticos extranjeros con más llegadas y nos basaremos en ellos para realizar un estudio más detallado a través de datos estadísticos. De esta manera, la información aportada ayude a entender mejor el análisis de cada uno de los turistas que llegan al país.
