INTRODUCTION
After the evaluation of occupational risks to determine the most common work accident,
it has been confirmed
that percutaneous puncture is the accident that most affects the
nursing staff.
OBJECTIVE
:
Analyze if the workload increases sharps accidents in the nursing staff.
METHODOLOGY:
A
review
is
made
in
5
databases;
PubMed,
SCOPUS,
CINAHL,
BVS
and
Cochrane
plus.
Using the Boolean operators "AND" and "OR" and the following descriptors in DECS
and MESH; "Nursing", "Workload", "Needlestick injuries" and "Occupational
Risks”.
RESULTS:
A total of 157 articles were obtained, of which they were discarded; 107 for
not being
related to the topic, 10 for not being free reading, 10 for being duplicated and 8 for not
passing critical reading. Leaving a total
of
20
texts for the review.
DISCUSSION:
The different authors speak of a large number of risk factors, which are
related to poor
working conditions and staff skills.
CONCLUSION:
The review has confirmed that there is a clear relationship between percutaneous
accidents and the overload of nursing professionals, causing accidents. Nursing is the
professional group mo
st affected by this type of accident. Regarding the factors of
irrigation are all those negative working conditions that would cause a greater risk of
puncture. It highlights the re
-
hooding after use as the most determining risk factor. [-]

Utilizando los operadores booleanos “AND” y “OR” y los siguientes descriptores en
DECS
y
MESH;
“Nursing”,
“Workload”,
“Needlestick
injuries”
y
“Occupational
Risks”.
tema,
12
por
no
ser
de
lectura
libre,
10
por
estar
duplicados
y
8
por
no
pasar
lectura
crítica.
Dejando un total de 20
textos.
predominante. [-]
