Propuesta didáctica para una educació antirracista en la escuela primaria, a partir del arte africano

Abstract

Aunque el actual mundo globalizado debería tener implícita la superación de los prejuicios raciales, y pese a que muchas personas así lo consideran, los acontecimientos de las últimas décadas –sobre todo la migración de latinoamericanos y africanos hacia Europa y Estados Unidos– muestran cómo el racismo está vigente, aunque se presente de manera encubierta. Le corresponde entonces a la escuela –aunque no solo a ella– ser un lugar desde donde se eduque para la tolerancia, la solidaridad, la multiculturalidad... Para cumplir este cometido la escuela debe superar las taras que le vienen de estar ligada a la tarea reduccionista de formar individuos productores, en lugar de individuos felices al desarrollar sus talentos. En este trabajo, mediante una metodología de revisión y análisis documental, se abordó la pedagogía crítica, el pensamiento complejo, la educación para el desarrollo humano y la educación para el desarrollo como modelos pedagógicos convenientes para esa necesaria trasformación educativa; y desde esos postulados se realiza una propuesta didáctica que le permita a los niños de la escuela primaria no solo acercarse y reflexionar en torno a la temática del racismo a partir del arte producido en el continente africano, sino, también, desarrollar su emotividad y sensibilidad a través de su propia expresión artística. Si bien esta secuencia contribuye a la educación para un mundo multicultural, empero la lucha por una sociedad más equitativa e incluyente le corresponde no solo a la escuela, sino también al resto de entes que directa o indirectamente repercuten en la formación de valores y actitudes de los individuos.

Although the now globalized world should have implicit the overcome of the racial prejudice, and despite the fact that many people think it is a fact, the events of recent decades –especially the migration of Latin Americans and Africans to Europe and the United States– show how racism still exists, even if it is in a hidden way. It is then up to the school –but not only– to be a place to educate for tolerance, solidarity, multiculturality … To fulfill this task the school must overcome the defect that come from being linked to its reductionist task of raise productive individuals, rather than happy individuals developing their talents. In this work, through a methodology of review and documentary analysis, was approached the critical pedagogy, complex thinking, education for human development and the education for development as pedagogical models suitable for this necessary transformation in education; and from these postulates a didactic proposal is made that allows the children from primary school not only to approach and reflect around the subject of racism from the art made in the African continent, but also, to develop their emotionality and sensitivity through their own artistic expression. Even though this sequence contributes to the education for a multicultural world, the fight for a more equitable and inclusive society belongs not only to the school, but also to the other institutions that directly or indirectly have an impact on the formation of values and attitudes of the individuals.
