This document presents the technical memory for the development of a competitive
multiplayer online game which its main purpose is entertainment. This game can be played
on user created matches (known as hosts) and other players may join them (up to 5-25 on
every single match), these connections use an authoritative client/server model.
The game genre is shooter/stealth, every player controls a human-like character
(represented below on Figure 1) even though he isn’t able to see himself due to the first
person nature of the game, but he can see other players and all other players can see him.
The narrative revolves around the limits between virtual worlds and reality, focusing on
hacking, video games and the future.
The game’s target audience is video game players between 20 and 35 years old, as this is
the age range which typically plays competitive online games [1].
This project aimed to develop the game’s gameplay and all its functionalities, focusing on
programming and design, and leaving the visual quality out of the project goals. It was
developed using the game engine Unity3D, with no additional libraries than the ones
provided by the engine. [-]
