dc.description.abstract | This study has been conducted to critical review empirical research on the effectiveness of mindfulness for burnout reduction. Empirical studies show that there is a significant negative relationship between these two constructs. The health professionals are the subject of our study, because they work with people and it means a high rate of stress due to the requirement of delivery, involvement, service to others, self-demand and great tendency to involvement in their job; and by the number of studies that refers to this area. An integrative literature search was conducted to identify articles and studies on mindfulness as a burnout intervention that were published between 2000 and 2016 in PsycNET, PubMed and Web of Science. The objectives of this integrative review were: (1) to perform an integrative research and a critical evaluation of the literature through the different disciplines to answer the following research question: What is the evidence of the effectiveness of practicing mindfulness to treat burnout in the health field?; (2) synthesize the findings to better understand these constructs within the health field; And (3) improve the integrative review of Luken and Sammons (2016). The results were divided into the effectiveness of mindfulness in health professionals, the effect of intervention on other variables evaluated and the variations between studies. There is clear evidence that mindfulness intervention significantly reduces significantly burnout in our study sample. | ca_CA |
| ca_CA |
