El arte urbano o street art: ¿el graffiti como contenido en primaria?

Abstract

Cada vez más y más, muchos artistas se están apuntando a la moda del Arte Urbano donde emplean el graffiti como un medio de expresión artística. Algunas pintadas se basan en reivindicaciones morales, sociales o políticas. En cambio, otras se utilizan con el fin de enriquecer visualmente algún espacio. Por ello, sobre todo, se debe tener en cuenta el valor que quiere transmitir este fenómeno, puesto que la sociedad considera los graffitis como un acto vandálico que no enseña buenas conductas a las niñas y niños. La solución ideal para erradicar estas opiniones sería trabajarlo desde edades más tempranas y la escuela sería una promotora de este cambio. También, cabe destacar que el graffiti no aparece como contenido en el curriculum de Primaria. Por tanto, a través de esta investigación, se pretende desarrollar una propuesta de unidad didáctica donde se trabaje el graffiti como contenido en la asignatura de artes plásticas. Además, estará centrada para el alumnado de último curso de la Etapa Primaria y, sobre todo, se les concienciará sobre el valor artístico que se puede extraer. Gracias a esta propuesta, el alumnado será un agente activo en su propio proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje, siendo el docente un guía de información.

More and more frequently, artists are joining to the trend of Urban Art where they use graffiti painting as a means of artistic expression. Some painting are based in moral, social or politic demands. In contrast, others are used with the aim of visually enrich spaces. Because of that, the value of transmitting this phenomenon must be taken into account, since society considers graffiti painting an act of vandalism that does not teach good manners to children. The ideal solution to eradicate these opinions would be to work on that since younger ages and schools should be the promoters of this change. Also, it must be highlight that currently graffiti painting does not appear as a content in the curriculum of Primary. Hence, the aim of this research is to develop a proposal of a didactic unit where graffiti painting is included into the subject of Plastic Arts. Besides, it will be offered to last year students in Primary Education, and the main objective will be to educate them on the artist value than can be extracted from this type of art. Thanks to this proposal, students will be active participants in their own teaching-learning process, being the teacher an information guide.
