It is considered that the media, advertising and Internet promote the Eating Disorders (ED). The aim of this study is to see how the Internet and the new figure of the Influencer can affect the ED. The methodology that has been used is to review at the present moment the impact that social networks and the Influencer figure can have on the ED. For this we studied the page of an Influencer that promotes the ED and another that tries to mitigate or help in the cure of these disorders. In addition, two experts have been interviewed, a professional communication and a psychiatrist who especialializes in ED, as well as a patient who once had suffered an ED. The findings of this study reveal that the media influence as factors of maintenance in the ED. Internet and social networks can both promote and prevent these disorders and should increase the awareness and prevention of content on ED. Finally, it has been seen that the Influencer that promotes the aid has more success and more media impact than the other one. [-]
