The poetic pamphlets from the war follow the same format and structure and, above all, they incorporate suitable symbol ism that ignites motivation in all Catalans and metaphorically constructs Catalonia as a united family, where mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, brothers, and sisters battle Castilian forces. This unified Catalan family resides in the country side or in an arcadia of mighty rivers, green valleys, and luscious gardens that the Castilians would attempt to destroy. [-]
