La inmigración política durante el reinado de Fernando VII

Abstract

Este trabajo de fin de grado trata sobre el exilio político de los españoles durante el reinado de Fernando VII. Se abordaran tanto las causas que motivaron a estos miles de individuos a salir del país buscando una mayor seguridad personal, las consecuencias y reacciones que provocaron estas diásporas, los países que eligieron para refugiarse, la recepción que tuvieron en su lugar de destino y las principales líneas políticas e ideológicas que siguieron. Para ello el trabajo se divide en tres capítulos correspondientes a las tres principales oleadas de exiliados que se produjeron durante los treinta años de reinado efectivo de Fernando VII. El fenómeno será tratado de forma por apartados, y se tratará de ubicarlo dentro del otro fenómeno mayor como es el paso del Antiguo Régimen a la sociedad liberal-burguesa contemporánea, no solo en lo referente a España sino a nivel europeo, ya que el exilio es un hecho transnacional, que afecta tanto a los países emisores como a los receptores.

This essay is about the spanish political exile during the reign of Ferdinand VII. It will adress the reasons that lead to these thousands of individuals to leave their country often seeking bigger personal security, the consequences and reactions that caused these diásporas, the countries that were chosen to take refuge, the reception they had at their destinations and the main political and ideological lines that they followed in exile. In order to that, the essay is divided into three chapters corresponding to the three main waves of exiles that ocurred during the thirty years of reign of Ferdinand VII. The phenomenon will be treated individually, but also will try to place it within a larger phenomenon which is the passage from Ancien Regime to the modern era with a capitalist society, not only in relation to Spain, also in Europe, because the exile is a transnational fact, affecting sender and receiver countries.
