Financial transparency in the local governments

Abstract

This project has been proposed with the intention to analyse in detail the Public Entities’ Transparency. In this, we are going to tackle all the matters related to the corruption which is one of the most current and perplexed problems. We will see that the public administration’s functions and characteristics are more transparent than years ago. Moreover, the determinants which impede the achievement of a higher grade of transparency will be dealt with. Furthermore, how corruption can be detected and which measures have been taken in that regard will also be discussed. Finally, we will detect which indicators the public sector has to control the public information, the organisations and indexes which have appeared as a consequence of the current crisis. It is a project that studies a present issue and makes us to pose again so many questions regarding the real and correct function of the institutions and if they are respecting or not the transparency rules and, therefore, the citizens.
