werden auf R. Strauss’ Oper „Salomé“ angewandt. Das Werk erweist
sich in dieser Lesart als paradigmatisches Beispiel für die Aneignung
und Nutzung eines Orient-Bilds zur Postulierung und kulturellen
Affi rmation einer doppelten Vorherrschaft: der Vorherrschaft des
„Westens“ über den Orient sowie der Vorherrschaft einer spezifi sch
männlichen Identität. [-]
