Revisión de las propuestas de intervención en el tratamiento del "juego patológico"

Abstract

El término juego se ha relacionado siempre con palabras positivas, ya que ha formado parte del desarrollo de los individuos desde muy pequeños. El problema aparece cuando la conducta de juego se convierte en patológica, y por lo tanto, la persona se ve envuelta en una serie de consecuencias negativas que escapan totalmente de su control. En el presente trabajo se analizará ésta transición, describiendo tanto su inicio como su posterior mantenimiento en el tiempo. Uno de los apartados está destinado a tratar las distorsiones cognitivas, un problema por el cual no solo los jugadores patológicos se ven afectados. Es importante aportar los últimos datos sobre el número de afectados por esta patología, por eso se dedicaran unas líneas a establecer la epidemiología del trastorno. También es necesario descubrir si existe una personalidad prototípica o rasgos asociados, por lo que intentaré dar respuesta a esta pregunta. Además, se comentarán los tratamientos que se han mostrado más eficaces hasta el momento, englobando desde el farmacológico hasta el cognitivo-conductual. Por último, se hablará sobre una técnica innovadora hasta el momento, la realidad virtual, la cual tiene como objetivo no solo aportar ayuda en la curación de enfermedades psicológicas, sino también de imponerse como tecnología válida en el tratamiento de los diferentes trastornos en los que ha mostrado resultados eficaces, en nuestro caso, los asociados con la ansiedad que tan relacionados están con el juego.

The concept game was always been associated with positive words, because it has been part of the development of individuals from a very early age. The problem arises when gaming behavior becomes pathological, and therefore the person is involved in a number of negative consequences entirely beyond their control. In this work this transition is analyzed describing the initiation and subsequent maintenance through time. One section is intended to treat cognitive distortions, an issue which not only affects pathological gamblers devoted to the treatment of. It is important to provide the latest information regarding the number of people affected by this disease, so some lines are aimed at establishing the epidemiology of the disorder. It is also needed to find out if there is a prototypical personality or associated features, so I will also be answered this question. Moreover, treatments which have been more effective so far are discussed, encompassing from the drug to the cognitive-behavioral. One an innovative technique, will be included virtual reality, which not aims only at providing in the healing of psychological diseases, but also to impose itself as a valid technology in the treatment of various disorders in which it has shown effective results, in our case, those associated with anxiety so related to the game.
