Estrategias visuales en la realización de un imeme. A propósito de Pablo Iglesias y Mariano Rajoy

Abstract

Ante la proliferación del uso de Internet y de la globalización de, prácticamente, todos los ámbitos de la sociedad, se ha observado un aumento del uso de imágenes gráficas modificadas mediante herramientas de retoque visual (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) dotadas de un toque de humor burlesco. Estas son comúnmente denominadas imemes o memes de Internet. Muchas de ellas se utilizan para realizar una crítica social sobre la ideología y sobre líderes políticos. Para ello se utilizan distintas estrategias visuales a la hora de tratar una fotografía modificada que conllevan al empeoramiento de la imagen pública del personaje político objeto de burla. En este trabajo de final de grado investigaremos sobre el uso de estas estrategias visuales basadas en figuras retóricas (puesto que se trata de elementos satíricos, irónicos, sarcásticos, etc.). Incidiremos especialmente en estudiar si se utilizan estos elementos de forma diferente a la hora de tratar a figuras políticas ideológicamente opuestas. Consiguientemente realizaremos un análisis de varios de Pablo Iglesias (izquierda) y Mariano Rajoy (derecha). A partir de este punto podremos vislumbrar si los creadores de memes de Internet tratan de manera diferente a la izquierda y a la derecha política.

Given the proliferation of the Internet use and of the globalization of, practically, all the areas of the society, has been observed an increase of the use of graphical images modified by means of tools of visual retouch (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) endowed with a touch of burlesque humour. These are commonly called imemes or memes of Internet. Many of them are in use for realizing a social critique on the ideology and on the practices that there realizes a public political personage. For it different visual strategies are in use at the moment of treating a modified photography that they carry to the worsening of the public image of the political personage object of jeer. In this final degree work we will investigate the use of these visual strategies based on literary tropes (since it is satirical elements, ironic, sarcastic, etc.). And we will incise whether these items are used differently when trying to ideologically opposed political figures For this we will make an analysis of several imemes Pablo Iglesias (left) and Mariano Rajoy (right). And from this point we can glimpse, minimally, if the creators of Internet memes treated differently the left and the right political.
