An implementation of a social media marketing strategy in Azulejos Alcor 1, S.L is proposed in this project. The usefulness of new technologies to promote a company or brand is demonstrated. When developing a new marketing strategy there are steps that should be followed, such as setting objectives, knowing the target market or choosing which channel would be the best one for carrying out a marketing promotion through social media. The most frequently used networks of which a company, like Azulejos Alcor 1, could take more advantage of are Facebook, Twitter or Google+, due to their large amount of users and usefulness. In addition, after examining the countries of the company‟s main importers it was found out that they are the most frequently used social media networks also there, which means that the target markets can be reached easily through them. In spite of being the networks with the largest number of active users in the world, their characteristics as well as their pros and cons should be also analysed more deeply. The conclusion reached is that the three of them could be elected in order to begin a new social marketing strategy. However, as Azulejos Alcor 1 has never been into social media, it would be better to start step by step and with only one network: Facebook. This company should develop a page on this network and try to publish valuable content for their users. This electronic network is a tool that can project an attractive image of a company whose objectives are both opening new markets and reaching potential customers. However, in order to succeed and achieve the goals, the page should be updated frequently and should have a person responsible for replying the comments and questions made by the users. [-]
