És la globalització pel bé de tots

Abstract

L’autor troba que els representants de l’OCDE són massa optimistes quan proclamen que la globalització capitalitzada funcionarà pel bé de la multitud, i no pel bé uns pocs, si els països segueixen polítiques que guanyen la confiança del mercats internacionals. L’últim argument en contra de la globalització capitalitzada pot ser l’amenaça que representa per al ecosistema de la terra. En adaptar-se als imperatius ecològics, l’economia humana haurà de deixar que tant els estats com la comunitat internacional tinguen més poders per regular els mercats i la gestió global. Per tal de complir amb el compromís d’implementar els drets humans hem de realitzar una justa redistribució de recursos entre rics i pobres.

The author finds that OCDE representatives are over-optimistic when proclaiming that capital-led globalization will work to the benefit of the many rather than to the advantage of the few, provided that the countries pursue policies which gain the confidence of the international markets. The final argument against capital-led globalization may be its threat to the earth’s ecosystem. In adapting to ecological imperatives the human economy will have to allow both the states and the international community greater powers of market regulation and global management. In order to meet our commitments to the implementation of human rights we must carry out a fair redistribution of resources between the rich and the poor.
