La traducció a Suïssa: una visió històrica

Abstract

L'objectiu del present treball és despertar l'interès per l'activitat traductora a Suïssa des d'una perspectiva històrica. Igualment, es pretén també de presentar la gran quantitat d'excel·lents escriptors que han esmerçat els seus esforços en la traducció de les grans obres, i amb això, engrescar per a la continuació de futurs estudis. Per a portar a terme aquest objectiu, es fa un repàs històric de la traducció a Suïssa des del segle X fins gairebé l'actualitat, recollint els autors mencionats en el treball de Henri Van Hoof (1993) Dictionnaire international des Traducteurs.

The aim of this article is to consider the importance of the translation Studies in Switzerland. We also examine the great number of writers who have focussed their attention in translating important works and the implication for further studies. To do this, we review the translation studies in Switzerland from the X century up to nowadays, including the authors menctioned in the Dictionnaire Intemational des Traducteurs by Henri Van Hoof (1993).
