En 1977 Serge Doubrovsky planteó el término «autoficción» para definir su novela Fils distinguiéndose de las tan denostadas novelas autobiográficas y las autobiografías. Aunque cambie de nombre, el arte del yo, la literatura de lo íntimo, autobiográfica o que ficcionaliza la propia vida hunde sus raíces en diarios, cartas y relatos escritos de puertas para adentro. Lo concreto, lo particular, la voz singular de la diferencia han quedado tradicionalmente al margen de aquello que se consideraba arte —en todas sus dimensiones, pictóricas, literarias, cinematográficas—. Este artículo explora las aristas de la autoficción y las escrituras femininas de la intimidad. [-]

Although it may change its name, the art of the self, the literature of the intimate, the autobiographicalorthe one thatfictionalisesone’slife has its roots in diaries, letters and stories written indoors. The concrete, the particular, the singular voice of difference have traditionally remained on the margins of what was considered art —in all its dimensions, pictorial, literary, cinematographic—.
