| ca_CA |
dc.description.abstract | Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a potentially disabling condition that negatively affects the quality of life and daily functioning of those who experience it, with a high prevalence worldwide. Insecure attachment style has been shown to be highly relevant to the development and severity of obsessive-compulsive symptoms. The aim of this systematic review is to identify the evidence as to whether insecure attachment is a risk factor for the development and severity of the disorder in diagnosed individuals, and to determine whether the anxious attachment style is more significant than the avoidant attachment style, and the secure attachment style acts as a protective factor. To this end, a search of the scientific literature was carried out in the databases Pubmed, Scopus and the search engine of the Universitat Jaume I library, where a total of 329 articles were found. The search took place between November and December 2023. A total of seven articles that met the inclusion criteria were included. The results obtained suggest a significant relationship of insecure and, more specifically, anxious attachment style with OCD. However, the conclusions of this review should be taken with caution due to the low number of included studies. | ca_CA |
