El sistema de sucesión sardo durante el Antiguo Régimen. Análisis del mos Italiae a través del linaje Alagón

Abstract

El impacto que los sistemas de sucesión y herencia tenían sobre la nobleza es considerable, sobre todo si se tiene en cuenta la importancia que adquiría el patrimonio para la misma. En este artículo profundizamos sobre este aspecto en el Reino de Cerdeña, realizando una comparación con el estado más próximo, el Reino de Valencia. Para ello, empleamos como ejemplo representativo la casa del marquesado de Villasor, que, hacia finales del siglo XVII y principios del XVIII, se hallaría ante una clara situación que reflejaba las dinámicas propias de la isla y cómo estas afectaban a las élites.

The impact that the systems of succession and inheritance had on the nobility is considerable, especially if we take into account the importance that patrimony acquired for them. In this paper, we examine this aspect in depth in the Kingdom of Sardinia, making a comparison with its closest state, the Kingdom of Valencia. For this purpose, we use as a representative example, the house of the Marquisate of Villasor, which, towards the end of the 17th and beginning of the 18th century, was in a clear situation that reflected the dynamics of the island and how these affected the elites.
