filtros automáticos quedó reducido a 169.
universidades. [-]

Introduction: Burnout Syndrome is a psychological disorder that occurs in people
with a prolonged high level of work stress. This syndrome has repercussions both on
the affected person and on the organization where they work. The sick are one of the
professional groups most affected by this syndrome, but their stress begins when they
have not yet left the universities. It is in their stage as nursing students that this high
level of exhaustion begins.
Objective: to synthesize the existing literature about the effect of burnout syndrome
in nursing students.
Methodology: an integrative review was carried out in the PubMed, Cochrane
Library, VHL, SciELO and Scopus databases, using the Medical Subject Headings
(MeSH) and the Descriptors in Health Sciences (DeCS), conjugating it through the
Boolean operators and applying the automatic filters offered by each database. Some
inclusion and exclusion criteria are based, and the critical reading process is carried
out through the critical reading skills program (CASPe).
Results: the total number of articles found was 904, which after the use of automatic
filters was reduced to 169. After reading the title and abstract of these, 63 articles
were recovered, of which 21 were repeated, leaving us with a total of 42. After the
critical reading and the application of the CASPe tool, the total number of articles
included in this review was 21 articles.
Conclusion: burnout syndrome in nursing students has great repercussions on their
mental health, academic performance, and their future life as a health professional.
The factors that most influence its development are the period of clinical practice,
poor quality of sleep and deficient coping strategies for stress. As preventive
methods we find the resilient, self-efficacy and determined attitude, which, we have
to be promoted from the universities. [-]
