Arquitectura industrial y comercio de la naranja en la Plana Baixa durante el siglo XX

Abstract

La comarca de la Plana Baixa se encuentra al sur de la província de Castelló, es un enclave que se caracteriza por ser de gran riqueza agrícola, hecho que provocó que desde el siglo XIX su paisaje se convirtiera en un gran bosque de naranjos. Esta fruta trajo en su día luz a una época oscura de nuestro territorio, plantando en el bosque que caracteriza el litoral de la comarca riqueza y prosperidad que fue reflejada en unos años de bonanza económica dejando en el siglo XX un gran legado de valor social, técnico y arquitectónico de índole industrial y económica como fueron los almacenes. Para conocer esta tipología de arquitectura industrial se ha realizado un análisis haciendo hincapié en la evolución, características y ubicación de los mismos con el objetivo de legitimar y entender su gran valor patrimonial.

To learn about this type of industrial architecture, we have carried out an analysis emphasizing their evolution, characteristics and location with the aim of legitimizing and understanding their great heritage value.
