Las órdenes militares en tierras turolenses desde Alfonso I el Batallador hasta Pedro II el Católico (1124-1213)

Abstract

El presente trabajo pretende mostrar una visión histórica, desde distintos ámbitos como el político, económico y social sobre las diferentes órdenes militares que se asentaron en la actual provincia de Teruel con los sucesivos monarcas aragoneses. Por su parte, el escrito abarca desde el reinado de Alfonso I el Batallador, quien fue el pionero en la fundación de órdenes militares, hasta Pedro II el Católico. El trabajo también trata de exponer la gran repercusión e influencia que ejercieron las órdenes militares, desde las más insignes hasta las más minoritarias, pues no se puede comprender la Edad Media sin todas ellas. Asimismo, se exponen numerosas localidades, con el objetivo de mostrar la geografía que abarcó cada orden y sus correspondientes fortalezas, patrimonio todavía muy latente e imborrable en nuestros días, pese al paso del tiempo y diferentes enfrentamientos bélicos que asolaron la provincia.

The present project aims to show a historical vision from different fields such as the political, economic and social ones referring to different military orders that settled in the current province of Teruel with the successive aragonese monarchs. This project covers from the reign of Alfonso I the Warrior, who was the pioneer in the foundation of military orders, to Pedro II the Catholic. The project also tries to expose the great repercussion and influence exerted by the military orders, from the most distinguished to those who were a minority, since the Middle Ages cannot be understood without knowing how they were established. Likewise, numerous localities are taken into account with the aim of showing where each of the orders had settled and their corresponding fortresses, a heritage that is still very latent and indelible today, despite the time that has gone by, and different warfare that devastated the province.
