Fuentes oficiales de datos sobre violencia vicaria en España

Abstract

La violencia sufrida por los hijos y las madres a manos del progenitor agresivo es un grave problema social a nivel mundial por la especial vulnerabilidad que presentan las víctimas. En España, como consecuencia de la Ley Orgánica 1/2004, de 28 de diciembre, pionera en materia de género, nacen instituciones especializadas que desarrollan herramientas estadísticas específicas para la recopilación de datos que permitan conocer la realidad. En la última década, el creciente interés por la protección de los descendientes conlleva un claro avance a nivel nacional, evidenciado en las diversas reformas legislativas, consiguiendo la consideración de estos menores como víctimas directas del delito y aceptando la instrumentalización que en tantas ocasiones sufren de forma vicaria. Por un lado, para abordar este problema, la Criminología precisa del conocimiento de la realidad concreta para comenzar una búsqueda basada en hechos contrastados, utilizando como principal herramienta para controlar esta problemática los datos estadísticos. Por otro lado, para los investigadores interesados en la materia, no siempre es fácil abrirse camino, dada la cantidad de fuentes oficiales existentes. Por todo lo anteriormente expuesto, este trabajo persigue el objetivo de clasificar las fuentes oficiales que cuentan con datos estadísticos sobre los menores víctima de violencia de género para clarificar la información que ofrecen cada una de ellas y así poder observar el contexto real en el que viven los menores en ciertos hogares españoles con la pretensión de acabar con esta lacra social.

Violence suffered by children and mothers at the hands of the aggressive father is a serious social problem worldwide due to the special vulnerability of the victims. In Spain, as a result of Organic Law 1/2004, of 28 December, a pioneer in gender issues, specialized institutions have been created to develop specific statistical tools for the collection of data that allow us to know the reality. In the last decade, the growing interest in the protection of offspring has led to clear progress at a national level, evidenced in the various legislative reforms, achieving the consideration of these minors as direct victims of crime and accepting the instrumentalization that they suffer vicariously on so many occasions. On the one hand, in order to tackle this problem, criminology requires knowledge of the concrete reality in order to begin a search based on verified facts, using statistical data as the main tool to control this problem. On the other hand, it is not always easy for researchers to navigate through the multiplicity of official sources. For all the above reasons, the aim of this study is to classify the official sources that have statistical data on minors who are victims of gender violence in order to clarify the information offered by each one of them and thus be able to observe the real context in which minors live in certain Spanish homes with the aim of putting an end to this social scourge.
