Aproximación a la nueva revolución tecnológica y creativa: las inteligencias artificiales generativas

Abstract

Las posibilidades que nos ofrece la Inteligencia Artificial generativa son tan solo el umbral de entrada a una auténtica revolución tecnológica y creativa. En los últimos dos años, multitud de usuarios han experimentado con estas herramientas generativas de imagen y vídeo y compartido sus resultados online. La inteligencia artificial ya no es cosa de ciencia ficción o propiedad de unos pocos con conocimientos programáticos; ahora cualquiera con acceso a internet es capaz de materializar sus ideas con un acabado de calidad, sin importar la falta de medios o de formación, de una forma sencilla y rápida. Estos modelos son el nuevo objeto de discusión, interés y reflexión de los medios y la sociedad. Y el propósito de esta investigación es abordar y retratar la situación actual en torno a las IA generativas didácticamente. Para ello, analizaremos los principales generadores de imagen y vídeo y sus resultados con mayor relevancia. Con el fin, de demostrar el potencial que tienen en la creación y consumo de contenido, y cómo de algún modo modificarán los procesos de trabajo creativos y oficios dentro del ámbito publicitario y de la industria creativa en general, con especial énfasis en la trascendencia que tendrán para el oficio del director de arte.

Artificial intelligence has opened up new possibilities, but this is merely the beginning of a true technical and creative revolution. In the last two years, several users have experimented with these image and video generating tools, who then shared their results online. Artificial intelligence is no longer a sci-fi concept or the exclusive domain of a select few with programming knowledge. Now, anyone with internet access is able to bring to fruition their ideas with quality finishes, regardless of their lack of means or training, in a simple and quick way. These models are the new topic of conversation, attention, and reflection in the media and in society. The intention of this research is to conduct and didactically present the current situation around generative AI technologies. And to accomplish this, we will analyse the main image and video generators and their most relevant results, in order to show their potential for content production and consumption as well as how they may change the creative work processes and trades within the advertising sector and the creative industry as a whole, with a focus on the significance they will have in the art director's craft.
