dc.description.abstract | Advances in information and communication technology (ICT), globalisation, market fluctuations and competitiveness have led organizations to decentralise and coordinate their work activities across different time zones, spaces and geographical boundaries (Mak & Kozlowski, 2019). This has given more visibility to virtual teams and how to lead them, through E-Leadership characterised by influencing at a distance using ICT. Their task is complex, as they must influence virtual teams by dealing with any drawbacks characteristic of the virtual context, with the aim of providing well-being and promoting good performance (Elyousfi et al., 2021). The aim of this systematic review is to find out how E-Leadership is able to influence the psychological well-being of virtual teams. For the elaboration of the systematic review we followed the PRISMA 2020 guidelines (Page et al., 2021), established a series of inclusion and exclusion criteria and conducted the search using the keywords (ELeadership, virtual team, well-being, psychological well-being).The databases used were ABI/INFORM Collection, Business Source (EBSCO), Scopus, PsycINFO and Web of Science, where a total of 172 articles published between 2003 and 2023 were located. Following the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 6 articles were obtained for the systematic review. The results showed that E-Leadership abilities: correct use of ICT, effective, regulated, detailed, efficient and empathic communication, emotional intelligence, health promotion and efficiency, provided vertical and horizontal trust, engagement and emotional wellbeing to virtual teams. In addition, the social resources of support and collaboration among virtual team members served the same function and enhanced performance. Therefore, E-Leadership abilities alone are important, but it also has to generate that feeling of "we-ness" from a distance, which is not easy, in order to influence the psychological well-being of virtual teams. | ca_CA |
| ca_CA |
