La reflexión feminista frente a la norma subjetiva neoliberal. La expectativa de la emancipación

Abstract

El trabajo explora la contribución de la reflexión feminista a la crítica del proceso de subjetivación que impone el neoliberalismo. Concretamente, siguiendo el esquema del triple movimiento entre la mercantilización, la protección social y la emancipación que propone Nancy Fraser, se confronta su posición con la de Judith Butler. Ambas autoras coinciden en la necesidad de contener la mercantilización de la existencia y su creciente atomización, pero Butler plantea la resistencia a partir de una acepción activa —y performativa—de la vulnerabilidad incompatible con la visión proteccionista de la dependencia y del cuidado que sostiene Fraser. Para cerrar el debate, se planteará la posibilidad de reconsiderar la reflexión feminista como una epistemología de la resistencia comprometida con el interés emancipatorio que sigue formando parte de las expectativas normativas del presente, pese a la vigencia del orden neoliberal y su contexto nihilista.

This work explores the contribution of feminist reflection on the critique of the subjec-tive processimposed by neoliberalism. Specifically, following the triple movement between commodification, social protection and emancipation proposed by Nancy Fraser, her stance is contrasted with that of Judith Butler. Even though both authoresses agree on the need to curb the commodification of life and its growing atomisation, Butler approaches resistance from the perspective of an active —and performative—acceptance of the vulnerability incompatible with the protectionist vision of dependence and care held by Fraser. To bring the debate to a close, it is suggested that feminist reflection may be reconsidered as an epistemology of resistance committed to the emancipatory concerns that continue to imbue the normative expectations of the present, despite the currency of the neoliberal order and its nihilistic context.
