Abstract

Nuestro reportaje audiovisual trata sobre el motociclismo deportivo y, en concreto, sobre las nuevas normas y medidas de seguridad que se han impuesto y llevado a cabo en el reglamento oficial del Mundial, a raíz de los accidentes que ocurrieron el año pasado, en 2021, provocando el fallecimiento de tres jóvenes pilotos. Según Statista, una empresa alemana especializada en datos de mercado y consumo, este deporte se encuentra entre los más peligrosos del mundo. Así pues, como indica la estadística de número de fallecidos en entrenamientos y carreras de motociclismo, practicarlo ha conllevado a tragedias como la muerte de 44 pilotos desde 1950 hasta el año 2021, en el campeonato Mundial. Durante el pasado año fallecieron tres jóvenes de 14, 15 y 19 años en los meses de mayo, julio y septiembre, respectivamente, y esto ha comportado a que la Federación Internacional de Motociclismo (FIM) y la empresa Dorna Sports, organizadora oficial del Mundial de Motociclismo, se hayan planteado buscar soluciones para que estas desgracias no se repitan más, o al menos el riesgo sea mínimo.

Our audiovisual report is about motorcycling and, specifically, about the new norms and safety measures that have been imposed and implemented in the official regulations of the World Championship, following the accidents that occurred last year, in 2021, causing the death of three young riders aged 14, 15 and 19 years in the months of May, July and September, respectively. These events have led the International Motorcycling Federation (IMF) and the company Dorna Sports, the official organizer of the World Motorcycling Championship, to seek solutions to ensure that such accidents do not happen again, or at least that the risk is minimized. For this reason, they have established new rules in the official regulations such as being of legal age to participate in the World Championship, therefore, they have raised the minimum age of the championships to participate, and they have also reduced the number of riders on the grids of many of the championships to avoid crowds and reduce the accident rate to provide maximum safety for everyone.
