Artistas y artistas-docentes generando transformación y nuevas subjetividades

Abstract

El artículo entrega parte de los resultados del estudio "Nuevos vínculos y desafíos entre lo artístico y lo pedagógico. Abriendo campos hacia una re-conceptualización del arte y el rol del/la artista en la sociedad actual”, desarrollado entre 2018 y 2020 y que buscó comprender los cruces entre las prácticas artísticas y pedagógicas de artistas y artistas-docentes en Chile. Para ello se desarrolló una metodología cualitativa a través del método Taller Artístico de Discusión con grupos de artistas y artistas-docentes. El análisis permitió identificar que el sentido pedagógico genera prácticas artísticas que promueven la transformación social y nuevas subjetividades. El escrito expone cómo artistas y artistas-docentes hacen de las artes una forma de hacer trascendente y un diálogo con el mundo social que revive el sentido político de las artes. El sentido pedagógico en las prácticas artísticas transforma la producción de las artes en procesos ciudadanos y de mediación complejos, activando valores democráticos y de justicia social. Se explicita que dicho compromiso político se  desarrolla a través de prácticas artísticas relacionales, activistas y colaborativas donde se entrelazan nuevos vínculos entre la educación y nuevas subjetividades, impulsando nuevos procesos de agenciamiento para la transformación social.

The article presents part of the results of the study “New links and challenges between the artistic and the pedagogical. Opening fields towards a re-conceptualization of art and the role of the artist/artist in today’s society”, developed between 2018 and 2020 and which sought to understand the intersec-tions between the artistic and pedagogical practices of artists and teacher-artists in Chile. To this end, a qualitative methodology was developed through the Artistic Workshop Discussion method with groups of artists and teaching artists. The analysis allowed us to identify that the pedagogical sense generates artistic practices that promote social transformation and new subjectivities. The paper exposes how artists and artist-teachers make the arts a way of making transcendent and a dialogue with the social world that revives the political sense of the arts. The pedagogical sense in artistic practices transforms the production of the arts into complex citizen and mediation processes, activating democratic values and social justice. It is explained that this political commitment is developed through relational artistic practices, activists and collaborators where new links between education and new subjectivities are intertwined, driving new processes of agency for social transformation.
