La voz femenina en Thérèse Philosophe

Abstract

The presence of the female voice in the libertine novel (1748), particulary palpable through characters such as Thérèse and Mme BoisLaurier. In the middle of the Age of Enlightenment, the female narrative voice embodies new demands, although in many cases are the masculine authors who give room to it through his works. <span class="fontstyle2">Thérèse Philosophe<span class="fontstyle0">, novel attributed to Boyer d’Argens criticizes the hypocrisy of the clergy and defends the liberation of the female body. By means of these elements, this works tries to liberate women from the established rules by society and a classical education.

Este artículo estudia la voz femenina empleada en la novela libertina <em>Thérèse philosophe </em>(1748), especialmente presente a través de los personajes de Thérèse y M^me Bois-Laurier. En pleno Siglo de las Luces, la voz narrativa femenina hace suyas nuevas reivindicaciones, aunque en muchos casos sean autores masculinos los que le den espacio en sus obras. <em>Thérèse philosophe</em>, novela atribuida a Boyer d’Argens, realiza una crítica contra la hipocresía del clero y defiende la liberación del cuerpo femenino. A través de estos elementos, esta obra intenta liberar a la mujer de las reglas fijas implantadas por una sociedad y una educación tradicional.
