Situación de vulnerabilidad de las familias atendidas por servicios sociales ante el Covid 19

Abstract

El presente estudio comprende que la situación de vulnerabilidad como aquella circunstancia que se da producto de un evento adverso, es decir un riesgo, de la incapacidad de responder a este y de la inhabilidad de adaptarse al nuevo escenario, que se da como resultado de este evento. Con el fin de analizar la situación de vulnerabilidad en la que se encuentran las familias, se ha realizado un estudio cuantitativo de carácter exploratorio-descriptivo que tiene como objetivo definir el perfil de las familias atendidas por los servicios sociales de familia e infancia de Castellón durante la pandemia COVID19. Para establecer el perfil se definieron 30 variables relacionadas al de ambiente físico y social de las familias y de las características individuales de los progenitores, construidas a partir de los estudios de Trigo (2012) y Gómez, Muñoz y Haz (2007). La muestra seleccionada fueron 30 expedientes de familias atendidas por el Negociado de Familia e Infancia de Castellón. Como resultado de este análisis se ha logrado obtener el perfil de las familias, que se caracterizan por ser monoparentales, con presencia de violencia de género y maltrato infantil y dificultades a nivel socio económico. A su vez, los progenitores carecen de habilidades parentales y tienen historias de abandono o maltrato.

The present study understands the situation of vulnerability as a circumstance which occurs because of an adverse event, namely a risk of the inability to respond to it, and the incapacity to adapt to a new scenario, which occurs as an outcome of this event. To have a better understanding of the current situation of vulnerability that families are immerse themselves, a quantitative study of an exploratory-descriptive nature has been carried out which aims to define a pertinent profile of the families attended by the Castellón social services of family and childhood during COVID19 pandemic. To establish the profile, 30 variables related to the physical and social environment of the families and the individual characteristics of the parents were defined, constructed from the studies of Trigo (2012) and Gómez, Muñoz and Haz (2007). The selected sample consisted of 30 files from families attended by the Castellon Family and Childhood Office. As a result of this analysis, it has been possible to obtain the profile of the families, which are characterized by being single parents, with the presence of gender violence, child abuse and difficulties about their socio-economic level. Simultaneously, progenitors lack parenting skills and have histories of neglect or abuse.
