acerca del significado actual del trabajo, y por el otro, con el del estudio del vínculo de dicho

On one hand, the topic of this research relates to the scope of the studies on the actual
meaning of work. On the other hand, it relates to the study of the link between such meaning
and the construction of identities. A study was conducted at the crossroads of both lines
of research, with the aim of understanding the relationship between the meaning of work
and the construction of gender identity through the examination of the narratives of the
life paths of three middle-class women from Guadalajara, Mexico, of three successive
generations of a single family. This research work presents some of the results obtained from
such examination. [-]
