dc.description.abstract | Tinta Valenciana is a cybermedia dedicated to the tattoo industry in the Valencian Community. This project aims to provide information about the world of tattooing, to make visible a passion shared by thousands of people that goes unnoticed by the traditional media. The world of tattooing is a booming niche market, with more and more people getting ink on their skin and professionals finding their economic livelihood in this business. The scarce coverage of this world in the media is understandable, given that it has always been shrouded in a stigma of marginality and delinquency. However, with the passing of generations this stigma is decreasing and tattooing is increasing its presence in society. The main problem with traditional media coverage lies in the fact that it provides information that is poorly contrasted and mainly based on topics. Although tattooing is not taken seriously in the traditional media, on social networks and new audiovisual content platforms this sector is treated with greater knowledge. There are several content creators who focus exclusively on the treatment of information about tattooing, whether on YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, Spotify, Twitter or TikTok. These are communicators who are tattoo aficionados or professional tattoo artists who share their knowledge with more tattoo fans. However, although there are profiles on social networks and channels on audiovisual platforms dedicated to tattooing, there is no specialised digital media project similar to that of Tinta Valenciana. Tinta Valenciana also aims to be a guide for anyone who wants to get a tattoo in the Valencian Community. There is no guidance on the speciality of each studio for someone who wants to get a tattoo, they can only be guided by the recommendations of someone they know, or in the case of being a tattoo addict, by the Instagram profiles of the artists. Tinta Valenciana has a guide to the studios and the speciality of each of the artists, in order to cover an existing need for information. | ca_CA |
