Análisis estadístico del perfil turista en España a nivel provincial

Abstract

A día de hoy, el turismo se ha convertido en una de las principales actividades económicas a nivel mundial. Además de que es un sector que proporciona muchos beneficios a la economía del país, crea una amplia oferta de empleo. Por lo que el analizar el perfil del turista que visita un lugar en concreto se ha convertido en necesario para poder evolucionar dentro del sector. Es importante conocer el gasto, las pernoctaciones, el motivo de la visita y las actividades principales que llevan a cabo los turistas para elegir un destino para pasar las vacaciones. En el siguiente trabajo se realizará un análisis estadístico en cuanto al perfil del turista que visita la Comunidad Valenciana, se considerarán los diferentes tipos de perfiles y procedencias, nos centraremos especialmente en la provincia de Castellón. Identificaremos el perfil del turista, el gasto medio, las pernoctaciones y las actividades más demandadas dentro de la provincia. Otro aspecto básico del trabajo será analizar el perfil más potente que visita la provincia de Castellón con el objetivo de revelar los motivos por los que eligen este destino, y por ende saber cómo adaptar la oferta turística a este perfil. Para ello, será primordial analizar las diferencias con respecto al resto de turistas españoles que visitan la provincia como destino turístico.

Today, tourism has become one of the world’s leading economic activities. In addition to being a sector that provides many benefits to the country's economy, it creates a wide range of jobs every year. So continuously analyzing the profile of the tourist visiting a particular place has become necessary to be able to evolve within the sector. It is important to know the expense, the overnight stays, the reason for the visit and the main activities that motivate tourists to choose a destination to spend the holidays. The following work will carry out a statistical analysis regarding the profile of the tourists visiting the Valencian Community, will consider the different types of profiles and backgrounds, and as the work evolves we focus especially in the province of Catellón. We will identify the profile of the tourist, the average expense, the overnight stays and the most demanded activities within the province. Another basic aspect of the work will be to analyze the most powerful profile visited by the province of Castellón, in order to reveal the reasons why they choose this destination, and therefore know how to adapt the tourist offer to his profile. To do this, it will be essential to analyze the differences with respect to the other Spanish tourists who visit the province as a tourist destination.
