La ocupación ilegal de inmuebles: una problemática actual

Abstract

La problemática de la ocupación ha existido en España desde la década de los 80, pero no ha sido hasta hace unos años cuando realmente se le ha atribuido importancia. A través de los medios de comunicación, la sociedad ha podido crear su opinión respecto a la ocupación ilegal de inmuebles, pudiendo ver solamente los casos más mediáticos o alarmantes, sin ser estos, la verdadera realidad de la situación. La ocupación, o realmente el problema de acceso a la vivienda, es un problema real al que no se le ha prestado atención, es por ello por lo que no existen verdaderos mecanismos para, por un lado, prestar ayudas a las personas sin recursos económicos puedan acceder a una vivienda, y, por otro lado, garantizar los derechos inherentes atribuidos a los que tienen que padecer la ocupación en sus viviendas. Es por ello por lo que cada vez más, la sociedad recurre al Estado para que intente solucionar este grave problema, pero ¿se están tomando todas las medidas disponibles para intentar ayudar a ambas partes en el proceso?

The problem of squatting has existed in Spain since the 1980s, but it was not until a few years ago that it really gained importance. Through the media, society has been able to create its own opinion regarding squatting, seeing only the most mediatic or alarming cases, without these being the true reality of the situation. Squatting, or really the problem of access to housing, is a real problem that has not been paid attention to, which is why there are no real mechanisms to, on the one hand, help people without economic resources to access housing, and, on the other hand, to guarantee the inherent rights attributed to those who have to suffer squatting in their homes. This is why society is increasingly turning to the state to try to solve this serious problem, but are all available measures being taken to try to help both sides in the process?
