Victimología y necesidades de las personas mayores

Abstract

El presente trabajo de fin de grado de Criminología y Seguridad versa sobre los malos tratos a las personas mayores desde la perspectiva criminológica y centrándonos en las víctimas. Se divide en dos partes generales: la primera, la violencia, donde veremos en un primer lugar la violencia en general para a continuación centrarnos en la violencia contra las personas mayores, punto en el que intentaremos ofrecer una explicación basándonos en diferentes autores y teorías, tras haber realizado un repaso de la evolución histórica de la consideración de la violencia contra las personas mayores. La segunda, la victimología, en la que se definirán conceptos básicos de la ciencia de la Victimología para luego profundizar en el colectivo de las personas mayores como víctimas, sus necesidades, los delitos con mayor incidencia y la diferencia entre géneros. Con todos los datos anteriormente estudiados y analizados, la tercera parte constará de un apartado en el cual se analicen los instrumentos legales y policiales disponibles actualmente. La cuarta parte tratará de las necesidades de las personas mayores como víctimas, espacio en el que se propondrán ciertas mejoras al sistema para favorecer la situación de las personas mayores, prevenir casos de maltrato y adelantar su detección.

At the present end-of-degree work we are going to talk about of elder abuse from the criminology perspective and focusing on the victims. It divides in two general parts: first, violence, where we look in the first-place violence in general to then focus on the violence against the elderly, point when we will try to offer and explanation based on different authors and theories, after having carried out a review of the historical evolution of the consideration of violence against the elderly. The second, victimology, in which basic concepts of the science of Victimology will be defined in order to later delve into the group of older people as victims, their need, the crimes with the highest incidence and the difference between genders. With all the data previously studied and analyzed, the third part will consist of a section in which the legal and police instruments currently available are analyzed. The fourth part will deal with the need of the elderly as victims, a space in which certain improvement to the system will be proposed to favor the situation of the elderly, prevent cases of abuse, and advance their detection.
