Analytical chemistry is a measurement science based on a set of ideas and methods useful in all science fields. One of its purposes is to quantify analytes with the highest precision and accuracy in a given sample. Instrumental analysis development, based mainly on spectroscopic techniques and chromatographic separations, allowed the determination of smaller and smaller amounts of analytes in very complex matrices; currently, this development has made trace analysis a routine activity. [1] Trace metal determination in aqueous media is a relevant analytical area nowadays because of its application in fields such as health and environment. A very effective technique to perform this analysis is Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICPMS), since it is a very sensitive technique that allows the determination of analytes in low metal concentrations with high precision and accuracy, and low uncertainty in a short analysis time.ca_CA
