¡Escuchen a las brujas!: de la villana a la antiheroína

Abstract

La antiheroína es un personaje emergente y multiforme que ha ganado fuerza dentro de la ficción. Aun así, los estudios que la analizan son escasos y su génesis se asocia con la del antihéroe, un personaje mucho más complejo cuyo origen se vincula con el del héroe. Sin embargo, la transgresión de las antiheroínas las vincula con las villanas. Desde el análisis del texto fílmico de Marzal Felici y Gómez Tarín (2007) nos centraremos en el personaje de la bruja y analizaremos la escena de presentación y la escena de desenlace de tres películas protagonizadas por este personaje: La bruja (The Witch: A New England Folktale, Robert Eggers, 2015), Maléfica (Maleficent, Robert Stromberg, 2014) y The Love Witch (Anna Biller, 2016). Tras su análisis podemos constatar que las tres mujeres presentan rasgos que las confirman como antiheroínas.

The antiheroine is an emerging and multifaceted character who has gained strength in fiction. Even so, the studies that analyse her are scarce and her genesis is connected to that of the antihero, a much more complex character whose origin is linked to that of the hero. However, the transgression of the antiheroines links them to the villainess. From the analysis of the filmic text proposed by Marzal Felici y Gómez Tarín (2007), we will focus on the character of the witch and we will analyse the presentation scene and the ending scene of three films starring this character: The Witch: A New England Folktale (Robert Eggers, 2015), Maleficent (Robert Stromberg, 2014) and The Love Witch (Anna Biller, 2016). After the analysis we will be able to verify that the three women present traits that confirm them as antiheroines.
