| ca_CA |
dc.description.abstract | Bladder cancer is the most common malignant disease of the urinary tract. In Spain, the incidence reaches one of the highest rates, getting established as the fourth most frequent tumour in males. When suspecting non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (Ta, T1, or carcinoma in situ, CIS), cystoscopy becomes essential to confirm the initial diagnostic suspicion. Afterwards, the transurethral resection (TUR) will allow to classify the tumour, establish the staging according to the TNM classification as well as to identify the recurrence and progression risk. Tumours stratification will permit to obtain the ideal therapeutic strategy and to organise in an effective and individual way the follow-up of each patient corresponding to the tumour category. The Final Degree Project is based on the elaboration of a non-muscle invasive bladder carcinoma assistance protocol for the Urology Service of the General University Hospital of Castellón. The main purpose is to standardize the management from diagnosis to treatment and the subsequent follow-up. An exhaustive and updated bibliographic review was performed and a synthetized version was developed to facilitate its application. | ca_CA |
