Traducciones árabes de fitónimos griegos y sus correspondencias arameas y hebreas

Abstract

En este artículo ofrecemos el estudio de los veintiún fitónimos que figuran en una versión árabe oriental del Cantar de cantares. Se trata de una traducción realizada a partir de un original griego, con un importante número de lecturas de acuerdo con la revisión que de los lxx hiciese Símaco, aunque utilizando otras versiones griegas, así como siriacas. Cada entrada ofrece la referencia de los términos que utiliza el texto griego de la lxx , así como el texto hebreo y la versión sirohexaplar, además de referencias a otras variantes arameas, cognadas o no, y, en algunos casos, sus posibles étimos.

Our aim in this article is to study the twenty-one phytonims that appear in an Eastern Arabic version of the Song of Songs. This is a version rendered from a Greek original, with an important number of readings according to the revision of the lxx made by Symmachus, although the Arabic translator used other Greek and Syriac versions. In each entry we provide the reference of the terms used in the Greek text of the lxx , the Hebrew text and the Syrohexaplar version, as well as references to other Aramaic words, cognates or not, and in some cases their possible etymons.
