Path creation for regional diversification is a hot topic on
economic geography. This paper seeks to contribute to
these debates in three ways. First, by adopting a micro-
perspective to study the structure of agency distribution
(multi-actor). Second, by opening the regional scale and ana-
lysing the ways in which local and non-local factors are
combined in path creation processes (multi-scalar). Third, by
integrating past legacies and future expectations in the
actors of change decisions (inter-temporal). To do so, the
paper studies the path creation process around Internet of
Things industry in the region of Toulouse (France). [-]
