Abstract

In the 21st century, the new technologies have become daily and a key part of our day to day life, in a disruptive way. They have caused a before and after in terms of the changes it has brought about in our society. Specifically, this analysis focuses on the transformations in the financial sector. Living in an age that revolves around technologies has also influenced the way of thinking and the needs of consumers who have adapted to them. Users who were previously given minimal importance have become a key piece. In fact, the banking sector was one of the ones that invested the most in innovations, thus giving rise to new advances and terms such as Fintech and what they encompass. Currently, new technologies have brought with them both bad consequences and the rise and birth of new criminal methods (cybercrime), but on the other hand, they have also contributed favorably in the time of the pandemic.
