Estudio comparativo de usos del tiempo: edad, valores y calidad de vida

Abstract

The present study aimed to explore the time use of men and women who have affective sex with those who live together, as well as to compare the information obtained between people belonging to different age groups. Additionally, it was intended to show the quality of life, the stereotypes and the values of equality present taking sex and age as variables and to investigate the possible correlations between the uses of time and the quality of life. To carry out the research, an online questionnaire was carried out on the use of time, quality of life and values and a Student's t analysis of independent means was carried out to compare the results according to sex, an ANOVA to compare the results according to age and a Pearson correlation analysis to study the correlation between the uses of time, quality of life and age. The results showed that women continue to invest more time than men in paid work, however, men have increased their workload in the area of childcare and the times in paid work have been balanced. and free time in different age groups. It was seen that as age increases, women dedicate more hours to domestic work and negative correlations were found between the use of time in the area of domestic work and the quality of life in health, free time, economy and friendship.

El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo explorar el uso del tiempo que presentan hombres y mujeres que mantienen relaciones sexo afectivas con quienes conviven, así como comparar la información obtenida entre personas que pertenecen a diferentes tramos de edad. Adicionalmente, se pretendía mostrar la calidad de vida, los estereotipos y los valores de igualdad presentes tomando como variables el sexo y la edad e indagar en las posibles correlaciones existentes entre los usos del tiempo y la calidad de vida. Para la realización de la investigación se realizó un cuestionario online sobre usos del tiempo, calidad de vida y valores y se realizó un análisis t de Student de medias independientes para comparar los resultados según el sexo, un ANOVA para comparar los resultados según la edad y un análisis de correlación de Pearson para estudiar la correlación entre los usos del tiempo, la calidad de vida y la edad en hombres y mujeres. Los resultados mostraron que las mujeres continúan invirtiendo más tiempo que los hombres en el trabajo remunerado, sin embargo, los hombres han aumentado su carga horaria en el área de cuidado de los hijos e hijas y se han equilibrado los tiempos en el área de trabajo remunerado y tiempo libre en diferentes tramos de edad. Se vio que conforme la aumenta la edad, la mujer dedica más carga horaria al trabajo doméstico y se encontraron correlaciones negativas entre los usos del tiempo en el área de trabajo doméstico y la calidad de vida en salud, tiempo libre, economía y amistad.
