La cerámica en la escuela. Propuesta de mejora al proyecto: La Comunidad-Murales contra la violencia de género

Abstract

Actualmente, en muchas escuelas no se utiliza la cerámica como recurso educativo. Dado que nos encontramos en Castelló de la Plana, donde el sector cerámico ha sido muy influyente tradicionalmente y hoy en día mucha población sigue viviendo de ello, se necesita incluir este recurso en la educación artística. Para ello, he realizado un proyecto de mejora a el proyecto ya existente “La Comunidad - Murales contra la violencia de género” del ceramista Ángel Igual. Es interesante incluir la cerámica en las escuelas transversalmente con otros temas puesto que eso aumentará a la motivación del alumnado y además les ayudará a saber que posibles utilizaciones tiene este recurso. En este caso, el tema transversal es la lucha contra la violencia de género, por tanto, aprenderán que el arte puede utilizarse también como crítica social. El proyecto de Ángel Igual tiene una carencia pedagógica puesto que no cuenta con actividades previas al proyecto, por tanto, mi aportación ha sido la creación de siete actividades para realizar antes del proyecto final. La intención es que el alumnado conozca un recurso artístico utilizado desde hace muchos años en su localidad y que además conozca sus posibles utilizaciones, a través de la manipulación. También se pretende que conozcan la lucha contra la violencia de género y que entiendan porqué es necesaria esta lucha. Para todo esto, la visita al Museo del Azulejo “Manolo Safont” en Onda, será fundamental, ya que podrán observar la violencia de género existente en azulejos a lo largo de la historia, así como manipular la arcilla. El proyecto final, será la creación del mural cerámico del proyecto de Ángel Igual, el alumnado pasará a formar parte de la lucha contra la violencia de género dejando huella en el entorno gracias a utilizar la cerámica como recurso para la crítica social.

Currently, the ceramics aren’t used as an educational resource. We are in Castelló de la Plana where ceramic sector has traditionally been very influential and many people continue to live on it now a days. The ceramics need to be included in arts education. For this, I have carried out a project to improve the already existing project “La comunidad - Murales contra la violencia de género” by de ceramist Ángel Igual. It is interesting to include ceramics in schools transversally with other topics because that will increase the motivation of the students and it help them to know what possible uses has this resource. In this case, the transversal theme is the fight against gender violence, therefor, they will learn that art can be used as a social criticism too. Ángel Igual’s project has a pedagogical deficiency because it doesn’t have pre-project activities, so my contribution has been the creation of seven activities to carry out before the final project. The intention is that the students know an artistic resource used since many years ago in their locality and that they know it’s possible uses, through manipulation. It is also intended that they know the flight against gender violence and that they understand why this fight is necessary. For all of this, the visit to the Museo del Azulejo “Manolo Safont” in Onda will be essential, because they will be able to observe the existing gender violence in tiles throughout history, as well as manipulate the clay. The final project will be the creation of the ceramic mural for Ángel Igual’s project. The students will become part of the fight against gender violence, leaving their marl on the environment thanks to using ceramics as a resource for social criticism.
